When the variable is measured more than once in
the 24 hours, the most severe value is used in calculating the score
(measures at admission, possibly repeated each day)
PELOD score add the individuals Organ
Dysfunction scores.
As exist logical operators (and / or), score
for each organ is not the sum of each value.
Neurologic : Use the lowest
value. If the patient is sedated, record the estimated GCS before
sedation
Pulmonary : ABGs are recorded
without reference to the mode of ventilation .
FIO2 : Fraction of inspired
O2
Ventilation : The use of mask
ventilation was not considered to be mechanical
ventilation.
